About Me

I'm Jenny. Originally from Florida, I've always had a fascination with mountains and snow. After completing my BFA in Painting & Drawing at Ohio State in 2010, I moved to Virginia for a year to play in the mountains. After moving to Greensboro, NC for graduate school in 2012, I ran my first trail marathon at altitude in Colorado. I finished second to last. It was magical. Trail running became essential to the work I was doing in the studio. The experiences I had on the trails paralleled the fantasy I desired to convey in depicting place. After graduate school, an artists' residency landed me in Spartanburg,  SC, where I have been living, making, teaching, and running since.
